Hi everybody. As you all know, music can be helpful for your listening skills, but since this site is just about learning English, there are talks that whether we should put songs on this wiki. But recently Mrs. Alavi has decided to create a page or a wiki so that we can put things related to art and litreture there, But i think we should start uploading musics with their scripts since some of the members have started putting stuff about litreture on the wiki. Good luck!

[2]MUSIC for ever ...

Chris De Burgh was born in Venado Tuerto, Argentina, to Colonel Charles Davison, a British diplomat, and Maeve Emily de Burgh, an Irish secretary. His father had substantial farming interests, and he spent much of his early years in Malta, Nigeria and Zaire, as he, his mother and brother accompanied Colonel Davison on his diplomatic and engineering work.

After finishing college in Wiltshire, England, de Burgh went on to graduate from Trinity College, Dublin with a Master of Arts degree in French, English and History. He took his mother's maiden name (de Burgh ) as his professional stage name.

In December 2007, Iranian authorities allowed de Burgh to play with Iranian group, Arian Band, in a concert which made de Burgh the first western act to perform in Iran after the Iranian Revolution. Chris de Burgh said in a press conference in Tehran: "This has been a dream of mine since I was a little boy (to visit Iran)....I am not here for any political reasons."

- I'm standing in the station,

I am waiting for a train,

To take me to the border,

And my loved one far away,

I watched a bunch of soldiers heading for the war,

I could hardly even bear to see them go;

Rolling through the countryside,

Tears are in my eyes,

We're coming to the borderline,

I'm ready with my lies,

And in the early morning rain, I see her there,

And I know I'll have to say goodbye again;

And it's breaking my heart, I know what I must do,

I hear my country call me, but I want to be with you,

I'm taking my side, one of us will lose,

Don't let go, I want to know,

That you will wait for me until the day, . . .

There's no borderline, no borderline;

Walking past the border guards,

Reaching for her hand,

Showing no emotion,

I want to break into a run,

But these are only boys, and I will never know,

How men can see the wisdom in a war...

And it's breaking my heart, I know what I must do,

I hear my country call me, but I want to be with you,

I'm taking my side, one of us will lose,

Don't let go, I want to know,

That you will wait for me until the day, . . .

There's no borderline, no borderline;

No borderline, no borderline...

that's all !

Sh.Ahmadi: Out of Darkness[3]Edit[]

This song maybe hard to understand without script, but it's a beautiful one. Enjoy it

Here's the script:

Out of Darkness:

Listen to my voice calling you

Pulling you out of darkness

Hear the devil's cry of sin

Always turn your back on him

With the wind you go

Still I dream of your spirit leading you back home

I will give my gifts to you

Grow your garden, watch it bloom

The light in your eyes is an angel up high

Fighting to ease the shadow side

Hearts will grow though having to bend

Leaving behind all things in the end

Listen to my voice calling you

Pulling you out of darkness

Hear the devil's cry of sin

Always turn your back on him
